If the simultaneous negotiation of Hupeh section of
Hankow-Szechuan line is a sine qua non to present negotia-
tions British group although opposed to it will certainly
compete.
At a meeting of the three groups proposed at Paris on
2nd. April for resuming negotiations they will raise the question of the claim put forward by Germans which they are unable to understand to nominate Engineer for that section.
Bank, meanwhile, have been informed by Bland that Cordes
has been given up till Monday by Chinese Government to conclude Final Agreement. Are you able to confirm this?
